Smart Store Showcase(Vitrine Inteligente) is a product being developed by a company called Protótipos Engenharia (http://www.prototiposengenharia.com.br) . The product consists of a Store showcase that analysis the behaviour of the customers(to which product they are looking, for how long, etc…) , and provides insightful feedback for store owners to optimize the sales.
They asked for my contribution on the computer vision aspect of the project. On the video there is a result of a trial that I have conducted this weekend.
It uses Haar Classifiers, and the Viola and Jones algorithm for finding the face Region, then on the face region more specific classifiers for finding Right Eyes, Left Eyes, Nose and Mouth, and then some geometry calculations for finding the direction for which the person is looking and the angles from the aforementioned entities.
It uses OpenCV 2.1, and a ps3 cam as the input Sensor.
