For the presidente it is a satisfaction that a truly genuine brazilian product could deliver this success rate. In fact, the results were available one hour after the elections sections were closed in all Brazilian States ( at places like Acre, it finishes 2 hours later than São Paulo).
The plan is to continue the investments on the advances of the system. This year, the biggest advance was to transmit the votes by sattelite to the central processing unit.
At some places there was also a biometric identification system available to guarantee more security to the elections of this year. The aim is that in 2017, all the 155 million people that may be able to vote, use the urn with biometric identification.
